LOL, there is a really good joke here about "regressive" insurance and the MAGAverse, but I will save it since this is the Panthers forum.

Because Baker is the man, and if he can't do it, nobody can

Sam is Mark Sanchez without the lucky AFC Championship runs early in his career. He's on track for a very similar career path. He's a journeyman backup who can manage a game with a run heavy script. If we weren't paying him 18 million dollars, I'd actually be happy to have him in that role.

Baker is probably a modern day Delhomme, who actually sucked more than Panther fans like to remember, but had a good arm and some piss and vinegar that a team can feed off of.

Jake did everything possible to earn a Super Bowl MVP and would have had it not been for the kickoff out of bounds. He still holds the record for longest TD pass in a SB, plus what he pulled off in the playoffs that year. He is still the best QB the Panthers ever had. He played at a high level on big stages. Stayed classy the whole way.

Yeah, he's arm went... It had a lot of miles.

But Baker got a loooooooong way to go to be in a conversation w that man.

Jake wouldn't crack 3rd string in today's NFL. He was a good QB for this team for a window of time in the NFL, but much of that had to do with Steve Smith being his personal GoFundMe page.
