That's what a smart team that cares about the future might do, but the Panthers don't fit that profile.

I keep seeing mocks showing fewer qbs going high in first round if not in 1st at all

I keep coming back to Howell as the only QB I'd consider taking in the first round, all QB traits considered. Everyone else has one or more hideous red flags.

The one thing that pisses in my corn flakes is the experts saying Howell reminds them of Mayfield.
Mayfield was a fucking headcase in college that kinda acted like he was going through roid rage.
Howell is confident without being cocky.
The talking heads also like to point out about his slight drop in passing production in 2021.
Any QB that lost the surrounding talent that he did was gonna have a drop.
What did the experts have to say about Brady when he came out of college?
It couldn't have been great if he dropped down to a flyer pick in the sixth round.

Howell at 32 to Detroit feels about right. I guess someone will shoot their shot with Willis before that, but they probably shouldn't.

Kirwin on Nfl radio predicts a trade down which picks us up a 2nd and still taking Pickett around 10 or 12

Huge trade of picks. Why is Philadelphia wanting a better option at QB
