I would prefer to get Tyler Linderbaum and roll with Christensen and Moton as our bookends. A great center will make the entire line play better.

I am looking forward to this Sunday, where Rhule will FINALLY let us see what we might have in Deonte Brown. We may be in a lot better shape than we realize, with coaches that don't scheme to put their players in the best position to succeed.

 

Christiansen looks like a solid career backup. Maybe he becomes more, but he's already physically capped out at 25. I'm kind of with you on taking a different line position, though. You're speading yourself thin if you draft another tackle with your only substantial draft pick.


It's not a bad year to drop way back. I just don't know if a team would trade way up in such a lukewarm draft.

 

ya never know until later in the process when owners and the combine start leaning on the decision makers. Still a weak draft but I'm convinced 28 teams are effectively run by people that try to turn who-ers into housewives

 

I tend to view center as one of the filler positions on the line, along with right guard, but there are always outliers and Linderbaum could be one. That's not a bad place to go if you can’t con a team into trading up.

 

So how far can we trade down to get a 2nd but still get a tackle or the Iowa center
