    Jesus. I've been too busy to say anything about John Madden, but I really don't know where to start. He might be the most influential figure in NFL history. It's hard to name another person who changed the game in so many different areas.


    My generation fell in love with football for two reasons - the 4PM Madden/Summerall game, and the Madden video game. The editions of Madden NFL that he was involved with are still better than the modern versions. He made NFL football accessible to everyone. He was Meta before Meta.


    His decade as a coach gets obscured, which isn't fair, since he coaxed an inferior Raiders team to three straight AFC Championship appearances and a Super Bowl win.



    Everything the man touched turned to gold.




    Rest in peace, sir. Your kingdom awaits.

    Mannion is one of those tall looks the part qbs with a good arm, spotty accuracy, slow processing and no pocket presence. For some reason these Andrew walter/Ryan mallett/John skelton clones keep getting work.

    There's smoke around harbaugh leaving Michigan now. Do teams have to pay a separate buyout to get Georgia's cock out of his throat?

    So we want another college coach for the NFL franchise?
    Harbaugh finally had a decent season and we want to put him on a pedestal?

    Seems like there are not too many college coaches that transition that well to the NFL

    He's someone I'd give a hell of a lot of input to personal as he's earned it. Will Rhules final say so ever go away short of firing him?
