That means the Saints will only score 35.

Serious question. How much of a mess this season falks on Fitterer vs Rhule?

75-25 but fits history shouldn't fill anyone with confidence either.

Rhule makes the player/personnel decisions, so I’m going with 80/20

Rhule gets to trim the roster down out of training camp. As far as I know, this is the extent over his personnel power.

Maybe this has changed since 2020. This team is very depressing, so I don't follow these things as closely as I did a few years back.

Rhule confirmed Friday that, technically, he has final say over the team's roster. But he also made it clear that he's not looking at new general manager Scott Fitterer as a subordinate, either.

"I think in terms of on the contract, a lot of those things probably rest with me," Rhule said. "But that's not something I'm real interested in. I told you guys from the very beginning, . . . I think it's kind of a formality.

"Scott's here to run the personnel. He's here to build the roster. He's here to establish the draft process. I think some things are written into the contract, but I think we're going to work collaboratively and work together."

Rhule can hide behind words all he wants the power is his.

My takeaway from that is Rhule gets to subtract personnel. Fitterer handles the roster addition, including the execution of trades. The nerd Tepper hired from the Steelers is just sort of there to nag at both of them.

If Rhule does everything, then this whole setup is even crazier than I imagined.

I look at it this way. Fitterer goes out and gets Denzel Perryman to sign with us, and Rhule then has him shipped off to the Raiders for reasons.
