That was a good football game. I stayed up too late. I’m off my game this morning.

There's still something not quite right about WTF's defense. It kind of reminds me of Carolina towards the end of Rivera's tenure. The pass rush was cooking but we also gave up too many big plays. The whole thing made no sense. It was either awesome or horrible.

You just know he was yelling at butler with that hit the center's mouth remark.

    EDIT: fixed quote.

EDIT 2: The team did not in fact challenge the steelers in the second half.

I love it when he says "WELL FUCK THEM"

Btw, George Washington owned slaves. I have a feeling this will be addressed in the rebrand.

    District Defenders

    Sounds like an MLS team.

The NFL loves to push their historical side IE "Property of Team" shirt that imitates spray paint stenciled equipment cases, montages of the leather helmet days. I think the WFT should just embrace the simplicity and back to basics of it. I know that won't happen but in a world of EXTREME, vanilla stands out. Plus WFT is so wonderfully set-up for social media posts.

It’s that “bend don’t break” scheme that always seems to make for exciting usually close games. In a world of forthcoming mandates I wouldn’t be surprised if every nfl team was forced to only use this defensive scheme in the near future

This is fucking great! I’d suit up after that, and I’m 54. This team was it’s absolute best when they were physically nasty and played like “well fuck them” every down and on both sides of the ball. Most teams are. I love Rivera up in a big mother fuckers face calling out his candy-ass.

    Matt, you seeing this?

Because of how they've been hectored by the DC mayor, it would be hilarious if they disassociated from Washington DC all together. Build a new stadium in Virginia and call themselves the Virginia Whatevers. It's the sort of spiteful action I would take anyway.
