Reading about Sewell's struggles has me wondering if Detroit just has a garbage coaching staff. I had just assumed he would be an NFL left tackle. Moving him to RT as a run game lead blocker is bizarre.

 

What little I've seen of the rookie from Washington St, he looks like he had a LOT to learn in the league

With the upgraded talent if we do not have a winning season then I will be wondering the very same of the Carolina coaching staff.

Upgraded at some positions, sure, but left tackle and quarterback look like lateral moves at best. We also have no clue what Horn will look like this year. Rookie CBs are often atrocious year 1, even the ones who settle into Alpha status later on.


They need Christiansen to win the LT job, in my opinion. That's the only way the Darnold gambit can work. Either that, or depreciate Moton by moving him to LT and start Christiansen at RT. If you settle with Cam Erving you're going to have all three quarterbacks starting games this year.

 

Makes sense. The Patriots have insane RB depth. It's probably the reason why they've been dominating teams in the preseason.

 

Agree 100. There are only a few exemptions (ex Dilfer) where you can be a champion without an outstanding talent and leader at QB. It’s baffling the all out trust that current staff has put in teddy and then in sam. .. Two wild throws at the bullseye with darts you’ve never even handled

same can be said for OL. Thank God they had the sense to hold on to Moton. .. If he doesn’t stay healthy it’s very likely to be a shit show on offense
