Yep they are at 100%. That would mean they are 100% likely to suck

I have been thinking (and getting a feeling) that they are going to suck this year.
    God I hope so!

Last year the Falcons were average on offense and slightly below average on defense. They also went 2-8 in one score games. I don't think that's likely to happen again. They really should have won 6-7 games last year, but Falcons are going to Falcon, and they did--starting with Dallas. How does a professional football team blow that onside kick coverage??? An 0-5 start is hard to come back from; their team was better than their record.

    This year they have issues.

First, there's been a complete coaching and front office change. I don't think Dan Quinn ever recovered from the Super Bowl loss, and it's good for Falcons fans that he's gone. His replacement is an OC who loves a ground and pound game, and their roster isn't built for that yet. In Tennessee he had Derrick Henry, now he's got Mike Davis. That's a severe drop-off. He's also effectively replacing Julio Jones with a rookie Tight End, and I don't see how that's anything but a downgrade. And they're replacing two of their linemen. They will still score, but where did they get better?

On defense they have Grady Jarrett and Deion Jones. Aside from them, there isn't much other than Dante Fowler (who scares no one), Foye Oluokun, AJ Terrell. The rest would likely be backups on most rosters. The smartest thing they did was hire Dean Pees as the DC, but they didn't really address the talent level a lot.

Bottom line is their roster needs an infusion of young talent, and so far all they have is youth. There may be some talent, but I'm not seeing it yet. The salary cap has also hurt their ability to restock via Free Agency. I think they are at least a year or two away from contending in the division again, and that's assuming Terry Fontenot can build a roster.

I'm predicting 5-7 wins in Atlanta.

Raiders just announced you have to show proof of vaccination to go to home games. Then again the anti vaxxers tend to be not football fans (supposedly)

Not even sure why you'd leave the casinos and their free drinks and on site betting to go the game... it is at the edge of the strip though.

    disturbing link
either MSN has some writer who is rather down on the panthers in general, OR the team might be parented by passive permissive liberal mommy and daddy who don't mind the kids ruling the house . . .. unless one of them hurts someone . . . THEN the offensive party is permanently grounded.

I'm starting to wonder if this season is just a very clever tank job by management. So many additions make no sense on paper, but they're all easy to get out of, and the team can CYA by convincing fans they "tried".

New GM, new rebuild? Or they're incompetent. Odds say it's the latter.
