Can we agree Wil Grier is a festering turd of a player?

 

Agreesome, he simply doesn't look very good, regardless of the practice accolades by coaches.

But he also didn't have much help.

 

I came to this conclusion after watching his first training camp practice.

 

If the powers that be can't fix 3rd down defense, I don't think they'll win more than 4 games.

Trey Lance. Damn. He is much better than Garapolo. Seachikns got a new challenger for best QB in the NFC West. SF has too much talent to also have a breakout rookie. That's not fair.

I don't have a problem with resting starters for the entire preseason. I guess my concern here is poor talent appraisal from management. The Panthers have several supposed starters who would be backups on most teams. At minimum, guys like Darnold, Ian Thomas, John Miller, DaQuan Jones, Jermaine Carter, etc would be fighting for starting jobs on most rosters.



On a related note, the idol worship of Jeremy Chinn is completely out of hand. Outside of a couple fluke plays, his rookie year was complete shit. A healthy organization would have had him on the field yesterday.

 

They're going to hang up a really pathetic banner for that. You'll get to see it whenever a team kicks an extra point.
