    It’s a deep OT draft

It is but I'm not sure many others would be as plug and play at left tackle as Sewell would be.

If he's there at 8 I think we'd be fools not to take him. It's our biggest need.

Draft BPA, not need. If they think Pitts > Sewell they should take him if he’s there.

When left tackle is our biggest need and we have a QB that definitely needs protecting, why wouldn't you do it if he's there at 8? I love Pitts don't get me wrong but we've had a revolving door at LT probably since Oher. We can potentially fix that issue for a good few years.

We have good offensive targets already, so it's not as if we'll struggle to make plays provided Darnold has protection.

With our type of offense, Slater might actually be a better fit.

I usually go BPA, but since we traded for a QB, and he is one that needs protection for once in his career, if he is going to transform into a franchise QB, then I go OT

How many targets would Pitts average per game? Maybe on a pass happy, fighting from behind kind of game, he get 10 thrown his way? Maybe? IDK
I've never heard anything of his blocking skills even though he is labeled a TE.
So I'm not really sure how many plays he'd be involved in.
A plug and play left tackle is a beast that should be rocking it every offensive snap.

How many years do we keep not having a good and reliable left tackle which I'd say is more important?

Look I love Pitts like anyone else but keeping your QB upright is more important. Sewell looks like as close to a plug and play option for years to come as there is in this draft.

Not seen as much of him but I see he's moving up people's boards.

Does he have the skills to play LT?

Supposed to have incredible feet and hands. Not a mauler for the running game, but again, our offense is probably going to be quick hitting with a lot of motion and pulling of all linemen.
