3rd should probably be looking for projects on the lines (DT that can press up the middle would be might fine) fliers on QBs in later rounds are welcome though.

I had been thinking over the weekend that the Panthers might be waiting to see what the Jets do at #2. If they were to go QB, we offer this years second for Darnold...wouldn't have been against that either...but probably better to have made the move now before someone else slipped in.

I'm thinking along the lines of someone getting hurt in camp and being desperate for a vet with some experience...pipe dream.

Will not be drafting a rook QB now (bring in UFA maybe).
Thank God! Can just start talking some sense about actual possible smart picks now

At 8 if a qb is there trade back and recover picks and still draft a OT. I'm tired of seeing our qbs get hammered

Darnold could have a Eli-esque career - a 10 year starter who lucks into a couple deep postseason runs with the right supporting cast. That's probably his ceiling. More than likely, the Panthers are searching for another quarterback in 2022.

If that's the case, fine by me. Just don't want to draft a QB without an Oline first. Too many bad teams try to rebuild by getting the QB first...just look at the teams that live at the top of the draft and take QB's every 3rd year, like the JETS or Jags.

I want to see the Panthers flip the script and build from the front back...I think that is the way to build a winner.
By the time you get your franchise QB you've got a solid base around him and can add/subtract as needed.

If this works the way I think it will, Darnold will be a solid starter for us for years to come and we can continue to shape around him.
