I can't think of any pro football player that I've ever felt bad for.

nah, you have to have felt bad for one or two -
    For instance:

Walter Payton (liver disease/cancer, just 45)

    Brian Piccolo (cancer at 26)

    Darryl Stingley (Tatum’d)

    Junior Seau (CTE suicide)

    Steve McNair (shot)

    Sean Taylor (shot)

    Derrick Thomas (car accident)

    Kevin Greene (????)

    Mike Webster (CTE)

    Kevin Turner (Lou Gehrig’s)

    Andre Waters (CTE)

    Dave Duerson (CTE)

Pat Tillman (fell to friendly fire ??)

Frank Grifford (married to Kathy Lee)

Cam literally had no one to throw to in New England, but he still managed to complete 65% of his passes, and he's still a tank who rushed for 12 touchdowns. Washington would be a good fit. Good defense, shitty division. He obviously knows the offense. They could just run the ball and fuck teams in the ass with Chase Young.

If you can't get a true franchise quarterback, he's probably the best fallback option available.

The Texans certainly found a novel way to avoid having TWO upset superstars on the roster.

    JJ Watt cut.

    Seriously,
1.Why feel bad for shit that happens to highly paid pro athletes any more than to thousands of regular folks every day? If that's the case then all of us should feel bad all the time. Disease is going take thousands of lives every day.
    2. Football is dangerous on any level and the pro level especially. The players knew what they were signing up for when they put ink to paper. The reason and symptoms for CTE suicides don't just happen overnight. Those folks had behavior that screamed HELP ME.
    3. Thousands of regular people get shot and killed or die in auto accidents every day.
    4. I did lol at Tatum'd and Frank Gifford. Thanks. I needed that.
    5. As far as Tillman... He was a special dude to do what he did. Props to the man a thousand times over. He intentionally went to join a war zone and in a war... well, what happened to him also happens in every war. Friendly fire happens in wartime, no matter the time in history or the war.
I understand where you're coming from in all those named, but I don't feel bad or even sad.
I didn't really know any these people personally though and I'll just choose to save my feelings and my grief for people I know and care about.
I lost two brothers and a brother in law in 2020 and I don't know if I'll ever get over that as long as I live.
But to feel bad for strangers who I've only watched on TV or read about, just ain't in me.

    frank and kathie lee... ROTFL

I’m with you dig. The loss you and your family have had last year is huge and personal. I don’t know you but I feel bad for you in your loss because i can directly relate to that. My wife and I have lost 3 in our family too, in the same time period (NONE to fucking covid BTW). Loss is loss and we ALL have to deal with our share. .. how we chose to deal with it, completely personal and we all gotta do what we gotta do.
I posted that list mostly out of boredom and wasn’t meant to be a jab. But the CTE thing does honestly suck. A friend of mine who I took Aikido with a long time ago is apparently showing signs of possible CTE. .. hope it’s not and he’s just getting short-tempered and cranky in his 50’s like me. )
Seriously though, the most tragic event is marriage to a crazy neurotic shrieking fucking bitch like kathy lee!

Watt would look good next to Brian Burns. I'd rather do that than simp for Sam Darnold.
