If he did say that I would have to conclude that you're a stable genius.

The butties obviously have nowhere else to go. Damned if I would be on a massage board with folks 3000 miles away who I have nothing in common with to argue meaningless shit with a crowd who all dislike me. Real geniuses wouldn't do that either.

    That right there speaks volumes.

Lance is very talented, and I understand the appeal of gambling on upside, but the risk of taking him at #8 shouldn't be understated. For every Josh Allen there are three Jordan Love's/Carson Wentz's/Kaepernick's. It's not the direction I'd go with a Top 10 pick.

    Only three?

I would like a trade up for Zach Wilson if the Jets don't take him. If they do, I think we have a better chance at a Darnold reclamation project than developing Lance or Warner into a starting caliber NFL quarterback.

rebuilding teams need to trade DOWN if anything. The panthers can’t afford to “sell out” for one player. I like the idea of Darnold. I’d rather have him than sell out for Watson, or Stafford or any rook QB in the first round. With Darnold they could reserve a QB pick for one of the many other positions that need help.

We'll see after Free Agency. You're correct about one thing--teams that are always rebuilding are always stockpiling picks. I don't want that, I want to see us get a star QB and fill out the roster with late round gems. On Defense we really need a decent (not great) 3-tech to replace Short, a solid MLB, and a great press corner. The first two are always available later in the draft. The Corner we may have to develop.

This staff wants to win and win now. I bet they draft like that, which means they're going to go for their QB of the future if they can get him, even if it costs a pick next year.

I do get your point but I hope you are wrong about their mindset. Counting on “late round gems” and spending future picks on a QB is too much of a gamble in rebuild mode. If anything they showed their hand on their philosophy by investing in “who they thought” was a proven QB and trying to improve defense and the trenches on both sides.
If Teddy had met more expectations and CMC had been healthy it would be a damn good start for them. Rhule and company are unlikely to do what you are wanting. .. unless desperation to win immediately sets in, and that would be a bad thing IMO
