Didn't they say the same about Poe when he got to the Panthers?

    David NewtonESPN Staff Writer
One reason the Panthers liked DT Derrick Brown is he makes those around him on the defense better by eating up blocks. Asked how often he was double teamed last year, he said at the NFL Combine: "About every snap. Pass, run, it was a double-team frenzy when it came time to play against us. And that was my job, that's what I was supposed to be doing in the defense, be able to help other guys be better. So that's what I did, tried to do my job to the highest level that I could.''

I like Derrick Brown, but I'm pretty pissed off that we passed on Simmons. There's plenty of room for him and Shaq on an 11 man defense.

Best pick of the night might be the last one. I'm not sure how you defend the Chiefs now. The only thing that offense was missing was a receiving threat out of the backfield.

Tonight I want Kristian Fulton and Lloyd Cushenberry. That way I can wear my LSU t-shirt to games if they have them.

With that said, I do think it's going to be Fulton or Diggs in the 2nd.

Hurney's M.O. seems to be safe pick in the first, and then be a little more risky in RD 2 and 3. I'm guessing we'll get some sort of boom or bust project today.

No, we're going to draft Matt Hennessy in the 2nd because we need a Center and he went to Temple. Either that or Denzel Mims because Brady wants an extra WR and Mims went to Baylor

I think that our board will actually have Diggs/Blacklock/Fulton in that order on it.

This carries a biased tone as I’m a Lenoir Rhyne alum, but I’d like to see a “risky” pick like Safety Kyle Dugger from LR. 4.49 40 yards (I think) at 6’2 217-220 lbs. Cliff Harris Award winner, great punt returner. I realize these are Div II stats, but he deserves a look, imho.
