    Those are the numbers for above average quarterbacks, which Bridgewater is not. Laceration is correct that low end starters make around twenty, then there's a huge drop to the backups where guys like Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tyrod Taylor are making $5.5 million. Bridgewater is clearly a better quarterback than Fitzpatrick and Taylor, but you could have gotten someone like Jurrell Casey for the difference in salary between them.

    According to this website https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/average/quarterback/

    Bridgewater will be the 18th highest paid qb in the league at $21m. Cam is set to make $20,760,000, which is 19th on the list.

    Russell Wilson is currently the highest paid at $35m.

    Reasonable pay for a guy who will start one or two seasons and only under contract for three.
