I'm glad they're finally treating him like the piece of trash he is. It would have been nice two rapes ago. He's privileged to not be incarcerated right now.

 

He will hopefully become the new Poster Boy for the kind of socially retarded creep that can be cultivated from "privilege". Winston has been pampered and protected all his adult life and when someone is never seriously held accountable for wrong-doing this is what can happen.
I'm hoping this kid will be playing in Canada in a couple years. .. hopefully restraining himself from grabbing crab legs and crotchs.

 

What's fucked up is the way the league is handling it. New policy is 6 game suspension for domestic abuse charges. Winston gets 3 games and it's all hush hush compared to E. Elliotts case. Owner of the Bucs can say enough good about Winston This is the last year of his rookie deal. Let's see if they offer us a second contract to him. Something they've never given to a rookie qb

 

There's always been a bizarre tendency from people in the NFL and people in the media to go easy on him. It's hard to understand why. I'd chalk it up to Liberal White Guilt, except for the fact that Cam Newton gets the exact opposite treatment. I don't get it. You're exactly right, in that it's strange for the NFL summarily cut the suspension in half despite the clear violation and his pattern of behavior.

 

I wasn't thrilled with cam when we drafted him and have to deal with his crap mechanics but he's never done anything like Jamis and gets shit on by the public. Yeah he was an immature dweeb before but he's not continued other than pouting. Jamis is not much better than Vince Young

 

I can't think of many active players who are worse people than Jameis Winston. That was a very, very credible rape accusation from 2012, which was buried by the Tallahassee PD. He was never even questioned by the police. They just acted as a human shield and FSU never rendered any discipline. It was awful.

 

Just as a sidebar, my Priest, Pat Kirwan, was pointing out how much of a rotting shithole the Buccaneers franchise is. Completely rudderless from ownership. Nobody is attending the home games. Sad.
