    Sometimes here, sometimes there

I think the eight night home games is a little over the top.

Our bye weeks from our two Super Bowl seasons were early (week three and week five). It's a complete myth that early bye weeks are a detriment. People like to complain about having them because people are neurotic cunts.

I wonder if early bye is better with new coordinators, iron things out early.

I'm really in glass half full mode since Hurney hasn't traded away half our draft for that Guard from Notre Dame. Yet.

Drafting a guard as high as Nelson is expected to be drafted is scary business. It's a career ending decision for a GM if that player turns out to be anything less that Larry Allen. There actually seems to be a lot more forgiveness towards drafting an awful QB in the top five. Nobody ever says that a guard JUST NEEDS WEAPONS!

OL are usually the "safest picks in the draft" even though they seem to bust out pretty regularly and highly drafted guards can't be shifted to cover up their shittiness like a bad tackle.

The infusion of spread into the NFL has sort of flipped the polarity on safe positions. Ryan Pace will probably get to keep hiring coaches until he finds one who can inflate Trubisky into Alex Smith territory.

I live for these moments. I don't also mind night games.
