The Carolina Panthers have arguably made the most shocking decision of the NFL offseason.

With Josh Norman demanding one of the highest-paid contracts for a cornerback in NFL history, the Panthers have elected to rescind their franchise tag offer, making Norman a free agent immediately.

"After a number of conversations with Josh's agent we realized that a long-term deal was not attainable," general manager Dave Gettleman said in a statement. "We have decided to rescind the franchise tag freeing Josh to immediately become a UFA. We thank Josh for all his contributions and truly wish him well."

Norman was reportedly seeking a long-term deal worth $16 million a season, a contract that would've made him the second highest-paid cornerback in the league behind Darrelle Revis.

So now we have what 15 million to spend and all the good players are gone?

If Gettleman cares about "hog mollies," why did we get Sandra Bullock's kid and an undrafted free agent cut by three different teams at offensive tackle along with an old cowboy hat at defensive end?
