Denver's #1 Rush D

The two games vs 11 and 12 were the Pack who got behind and had to throw and the bears without Forte.

 

Manning is finished. Von Miller is the only player I'm truly concerned about. He could singlehandedly wreck the game for us.

 

Talib should worry us and Broncos fans. He could just as easily pick off two passes for touchdowns or jump on double moves and give up two.

Feeling slightly better after hearing that Norman, who I'm certain is parroting a theme on the defensive side, is complaining nobody is talking about the Panthers D. That it's all Denver D this, Denver D that.

It is true, barely any talk about our D. What there is is sort of an afterthought.

 

Our D is gonna whip their O a hella lot easier than their D is gonna whip our O.

If there is any whipping to be done.

Stats say we had 39 takeaways #1, to their 27 #13. The ff and ff-recoveries were nearly identical to ours, reg season.

Their O scored 21.2 #19, to our O 31.2 #1 per game average reg season.

Their scoring D was 18.5 #4, to our D was 19.2 #6 per game reg season.

Our pass def D was tied@ #2 at 108 total, and their D was 96 #8.

They had 52 sacks #1, and we had 44 #6.

Our oline gave up 33 sacks #11, and theirs gave up 39 #20, though they attempted 105 more passes total.

Their O had intercepted 23 #1, to our 10 #25.

Their D allowed 4.4 #1 yards per play to our 4.9 #2.

Their D allowed 18.1 #5 first downs per game to our 18.6 #6.

Their D has a 3rd down (first down allowed on 3rd) @ 35% to our 38% #13.

To me, and considering the offenses we saw vs the offenses they saw, their D isn't really super duper better, regardless of their being #1 in yards allowed 283.1 per game to our 322.9 #6.

Our Time of poss on O per game was 32.03 #4 (#1 was Atl we played 2X and #2 was Seattle and #3 was Zona) and Denver's TOP per game on O was 30.30 #19.

 

IMHO it will be a defensive game and battle!
