the fucking idiot signed a contract to play and now he says he is walking away from the game due to getting his period. Makes me want to puke.

Understandable, but I think you could possibly be missing my point. The point I have been unsuccessful in making is that while there are some late round (5th round on) players that make an impact, most do not. Moreover, later round picks are often made on longshot players, players that fulfill a potential need down the road, developmental players that go on the practice squad, and those like Michael Sam.

To assert that a team is stupid for taking a 7th round chance on the SEC DPOY isn't logical and steeped in homophobia. In fact, I'd go so far to say that Michael Sam wasn't drafted until the 7th round because he is in fact gay.

 

Yeah, except Sam's descent has been much steeper. Usually those guys can linger around the practice squad for a few years, at worst. Sam was drafted last year, and now he can't even hack it in Canada. Because he's not a serious pro prospect. He was drafted because he's gay. You're the last idiot left in the world trying to defend it.
