Honestly, TE and LB were the toughest choices. I did pick an extra LB for 3-4 and really cant bring myself to have a list without 51.

A case could be made for Brentson Buckner over star or Stephen Davis over dwill

Isn't there a better alternative to Terry? Wharton? Hantgartner?

Speaking of TD, he expects a deal to be done soon as in before camp. Cap hit of 9.9 mil now.

Yeah, thought about Davis but DW was better longer IMO. Also was a big play threat where Davis was a grinder.

Also think Star is more talented than Buckner was.

I'm setting this up as 21 personnel on offense. I'll do defense and special teams later.

    Quarterback - Jake Delhomme
    - Yeah, I know, but at the end of the day he's got two NFC Championship appearances and a Super Bowl appearance. Cam has one playoff win (and he's still a sub .500 quarterback, by the way). Beuerlein never made the playoffs. Collins....well, you know. I guess you could call it the default choice.

    Running Back - DeAngelo Williams
    - Averaged over five yards a carry for three straight seasons. Panther fans will never appreciate how good he was.

    Fullback - Mike Tolbert
    - Tolbert has scored 14 touchdowns in three years as a Panther. Hoover scored 9 in 10 years, and was never a really good blocker either. Plus it's Mike Tolbert.

    Wide Receiver - Steve Smith

    - It's pretty amazing how impactful he was in a John Fox/Dan Henning offense. Even the two Overlords of conservative football couldn't keep 89 from becoming a dynamic player. I still want him to have a statue once he's done with his bullshit Ravens phase.

    Wide Receiver - Muhsin Muhammad

    - I guess he was kind of overrated (only two 1,000 yard seasons) but he was certainly a guy who made some of the biggest plays in franchise history. He was also an excellent blocker, and I even heard that he fucked a sportswriter's wife.

    Tight End - Wesley Walls

    - While it was tempting to consider Olsen, Walls played in an era where tight ends weren't allowed to run all over the field unimpeded. Greg might eventually deserve this spot, but for now I'm going old school.

    Left Tackle - Jordan Gross

    - I guess the closest thing we've ever had to a franchise LT. He was a solid player for a long time. Recent seasons have made me realize that.

    Left Guard - Travelle Wharton

    - Another guy who was never great, but always good. Donnalley was of that same ilk, but spent much less time in a Panthers uniform.

    Center - Ryan Kalil

    - Like the other two.

    Right Guard - Greg Skrepenak

    - This position has been a black hole of suck for since the team played it's first game, so I guess this is a default choice. Shame about his post football activities.

    Right Tackle - Blake Brockermeyer

    - I know this is cheating since he was a left tackle, but I can't think of a right tackle who's played here who wasn't dogshit. Maybe there was, but I couldn't think of one off the top of my head.

Forgot brockemeyer. Good call. I suggested Wharton at tackle. He played right tackle and considering our tackle history I went with him. Turnstile Todd Steussie anyone? *smirk*

Tough to make all Panthers team, because I'm torn about whether to make it an accomplished thing, or make the team that I think, in their respective primes, if they were all together now would be the greatest.

I guess that's what Im going to do.

Im gonna cheat and throw in an extra WR and TE for those personnels.

    OFFENSE.

QB - Cam Newton. I struggled because Delhomme is a better leader - but I can't get the thought out of my head what he could do on this team.

WR - Steve Smith. He will never get a statue, which is fucked. The best Panther ever. Including Mills.

WR - Muhsin Muhammad of course. Great blocker, great possession guy, good leader and Smitty's inspiration.

(x WR) Pat Jeffers - before he destroyed his knee, he was a phenom. Helped give Beuerlein his best year here, despite us going 8-8. Our offense was unbelievable, and fun to watch.

TE - Wesley Walls. No brainer.

(x TE) Greg Olsen. Few more years, might replace Walls as our greatest TE to play in a Panther uniform.

RB - Stephen Davis. No bigger fan than Williams here, but Davis bulldozed us to the Superbowl, and for a short stint before he broke down here, was almost unstoppable.

FB - William Floyd. Kidding, Tolbert. Down year last year, but is a dominator when bulked up, a solid blocker and a great runner who has decent hands.

LT - Jordan Gross. Catches way too much shit, man. Insert Cinderella's song "Ya dont know whatcha got til it's gone" here.

LG - Travelle Wharton. PLayed at pro bowl level at times.

C - Ryan Kalil, one of the better C's in the game still.

RG - Mark Wahle - moved him here.

RT - Matt Campbell - I feel like it's too much a cheat to slot a LT here, since they can be so different. So I guess I'll go with Campbell, since I think he was better than Terry.

    DEFENSE

DE - Julius Peppers. Obvious choice.

DE - Greg Hardy. For me it's just stupid not to have him here. He could've meant more to us than Peppers ever did, had we kept him. Rucker and Johnson get consideration.

DT - Kris Jenkins. Best we've ever had. It's fucked up to think about how many great players we had on DL we never kept. What the fuck, man.

DT - Star Lotulelei. Buckner was vastly underrated during his time here and was an amazing locker room force...but discounting the under, the gap assignments and such, I have to go with Star, because even at two years young and his rough sophomore campaign, he's still an exceptional player. And he came on huge after he broke the wall last year towards the end.

OLB - Thomas Davis. Easily the best we've ever had here.

    OLB - Mark Fields in a 43, Kevin Greene in a 34.

    ILB - Luke Kuechly.

(xILB 34) Sam Mills. (crazy to leave Morgan off, but that says something about the quality that's been here - even Beason deserves mention)

CB - Eric Davis. Savvy little shit, and bigtime leader for us and a playmaker. What, didn't he have 5 INTS every fucking season or something?

CB - Josh Norman. One good season, but I feel he's a beast in waiting.

(x-CB) - Ken Lucas - was a great player here, if he just lasted.

SS - Mike Minter. Still one of our best and most underrated guys.

FS - Chris Harris. This is not exactly a cheat, as he played here when they were completely interchangeable.

    K - Kasay. Easy.

P - Todd Sauerbrun. Pretty easy.

Specialists - Michael Bates / Karl Hankton

I guess if you put Gross at RT like he was at first. Just all the false starts...
