If I could ask DG one question, it would be "why Shaq Thompson over Eric Kendricks?". Seriously. They did their homework so I'm really interested in what they see that the rest of western civilization didn't. Agree with Collin that Kendricks gives you all the same pass defense/athletic skills but better vs the run.

I don't hate the pick, I just think it was a big reach. I know it takes two to tango, but if you're in love with the guy trade back.

After all the bullshit about taking BPA and not reaching, they reached for a player that they are in love with the "idea of"....

He will probably turn out to be pretty good, but he would have been just as good if we picked him in round 2. Hell, I'd have been happier even if we had to use our 4th trade up in round 2 to get him.

I'm fine with the pick. I don't care if he sucks vs the run. Go cover some tight ends and make some interceptions. The sub defense is the new base defense of the NFL.

That seems to be the case. With Jimmy Graham not in division anymore and no one else having all that dominant at TE it's curious. Will help verses Indy

Rest assured that NEXT year the new panther GM will pick an awesome LT prospect in the top 5.

My sense is that they are thinking like... the hurry up, no huddle stuff has been messing teams up that have all the packages they have to swap for situations. I think this is an attempt to tweak their base package to deal with it.

There you go. An offensive tackle. Thoughts?
BOTTOM LINE Williams is a competitive player with all the football character you want and NFL power to match. When he gets defenders lined up in his sweet spot, he can drive them out of the play. Winning with guile and toughness over skill, Williams' lack of functional athleticism is a concern and might be a catalyst for a move inside to guard.

We don't care about having picks.

This may be the worst fucking piss ass draft we've ever had.
