granted I was stating the obvious, but I did it to stoke conversation... this is a message board, and this Board used to Rock! now it's draft day and it's its usual dead self.

NFL rejected La'el Collins' request to be removed from draft until police complete murder investigation, per source. No supp draft for him.

I am starting to feel like, why would the police and the NFL be doing him this way, if they don't think he's involved....

Also, with all the crap that has happened lately, why wouldn't they push him to the supplemental, rather than having him on a team with all this going on? Goodell doesn't usually hesitate to make the rules up as he goes.

I noticed that. I'm a primary culprit given that I haven't done any of my usual draft prep. That said, I'd still be down with Collins at #25 but it certainly could prompt JR to strike him from the Panthers' list. I don't believe he had anything to do with this.

Actually, letting him pull out would be making up the rules as you go along, so I understand and agree with the rejection. You don't want to start having guys pulling out at the last minute when they believe their draft stock isn't as high as they want it to be.

Speaking of not pulling out. I wonder what Mike Smith is doing tonight?
