Yeah, you'd expect it to be more difficult for a big guy to stop/restart and bend down to touch the line even though they'd have a longer reach.

Interesting about the cone thingy, both Ealy and Gaffney were the fastest in the 3 cone, Gaffney fastest on the 60 shuttle too. With his baseball background catching seems natural for him even if he didn't do it a lot at Stanford.

Yahoo! Sports says we had the 6th best draft this year with an A-. And no one knows sports like Yahoo!

    Realistically you're looking at a teams 1st, 2nd and possibly 3rd picks.

Can they contribute year 1. Anything else is gravy. Saying someone nailed the draft because you like their 4th, 5th and 6th selections is kinda retarded.

History says half of everyones draft class is ass.

Sure. I have shown no ability to consistently and accurately predict which late round picks are worth anything.

Obviously, if people KNEW they would be successful they would be early round picks.

As far as needs, we had multiple and only had one pick in the top 50. I still go back to Collins in FA where, competing for his services with a division rival in a state that does not have state income tax, we did not kick in a little extra.

I believe the neglect is intentional. I think Gettleman is drunk off of last season's success and is going to show the rest of us that he knows what the team needs better than we do.

It is interesting that Bakhtiari (a projected second rounder) while showing potential in pass protection gave up a Byron Bell amount of sacks last year and got his QB's arm broken. He wasn't very good at run blocking, rating -15.0 in that department per PFF.

Still, at least that's better than a guy who never even saw the field I guess.

We'll see how Ellington does handling the #1 duties. It also helped he had opportunity over there under Arians as Mendenhall was horrible and has since retired.

I still have faith Barner can show something although the addition of Gaffney may mean that rope has gotten a lot shorter.

How do you feel our late rounders will fare?

I don't know how happy I'd be taking a G with WR so glaring. He, like Benjamin is also an older kid too having served his missions. I could see an argument for a more polished route runner in Lee.

I was screaming for Moses myself, It'll be interesting to see how that plays out. The Hardy deal makes this pick look a little smarter though. I liked Robinson a lot here too.

I don't like Sunseri at 4, I imagine he gets redshirted with that ACL. He should have the smarts being Sals kid to make an impact. Exum had an injury history too, barely played last year. That would be two very dodgy back to back picks IMO.

I thought we might grab Seastrunk so the Gaffney pick was amusing. I think the kid might actually do something here even if it wasn't a need.
But he is gonna have the same problem Barner had getting on the field, we have a lot of depth especially if Stu actually gets through a preseason this year.

Would have liked Boyd too for the same reasons.

I don't get no OT's in two years. That's friggen outstanding.
