If I may counter, my hunch tells me that if he weren't gay he would have went in the 3rd or 4th round w/ teams making potential talks of a move to OLB.

While I have no proof or anything to base this on, my further guess is that the commissioner begged and likely promised the Rams something down the road as the NFL does not want to have to answer questions as an entity pertaining to why they didn't draft the SEC defensive player of the year, who just happens to be gay.

The NFL is a homophobic league. Furthermore, many Americans aren't comfortable w/ the site of two men kissing on national television. The germane question should be does it bother you more to see two men kiss/embrace more so than it does to see a person not getting a fair shot?
