Please god no. I'm watching his tape from Florida State and freaking the fuck out. I just saw him swing out to pick up a corner blitz and let this little DB get into his chest, driving him back into the quarterback. He is absolutely horrible with his hands. You're supposed to extend, engage, and control as an offensive lineman. Bitonio repeatedly chest bumps, then wraps his arms to grab at the shoulder pads. Not only is that going to lead to a lot of holding calls at the NFL level, but it makes it easy for NFL quality defenders to disengage and makes it very hard to anchor against a bull rush. I wouldn't take this guy at #60.

    edit:
Another pet peeve from that game, how do defenders never notice when the offensive formation has the tight end covered up by the split end? If they do, it's going to be a run. Someone on defense should be screaming that out, but no one ever seems to notice.

    Yeah that would fucking suck.

Before the combine I had only known his name from that draft simulator game.

Seems like a Gettleman pick. We will find secondary help in rounds 7-undrafted free agent.

He's been taking one big dump since January so it would certainly make sense in that regard.

Bitiono is ok. Needs work on technique and not much upside either. Might be a better G and not all that athletic. Tough guy kinda nasty but...a reach at #28 without question.

Outside of the top 3 and Zach who I think would better at RT or G - the next tier have questions obviously. If we reach I think it will be Moses or Cyrus. I would rather have Cyrus if healthy but no one really knows that.

If you like Bitiono I'd probably wait till the second and get someone else that I can coach up.

We probably are not starting any LT as a rookie unless its one of those top 3 guys anyway. Right? Maybe Cyrus or Moses...MAYBE. Stretch IMO and they will probably be feasted upon year 1. Course so will Bell so what do you do. It is what it is.

Bell is the starting LT, we just have to live with that and think about the really nice draft pick the Panthers will have in 2015. I do think Gettleman intends to draft a rookie to play RT this season.

I can see fatty going interior lineman (Suafilo or even Marcus Martin) in round 1 then someone like juwaun James in two.

Martin has been "hot" recently and supposedly can play guard.
