    Yeah, I'm wondering how much he even had to do with signing Cruz. A lot of Panther fans seem to think he had personnel control up there.

    Cruz was found money. Not only did he go undrafted, he wasn't expected to make the team except that he had an incredibly productive preseason in 2010. Even in 2011 he wasn't expected to be a major contributor, but injuries forced him into the lineup and he thrived. All that stands out in my memory because it was so strange that a media/fan obsession with a preseason star actually turned into something, because I was making fun of it at the time.
