McCann, Uggla, BJ Upton should all be gone.

What's up with the Braves refusing to catch Chippers opening pitch because he picked the Dodgers to win the series? He was asked his opinion and gave it. Brave players were being too sensitive especially towards a player who is probably the second most loved former Brave.

Who was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2013?

In our view, it's not a close call. The SweetSpot voting panel named Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons as its Defensive Player of the Year.

Simmons took nine of the 10 first-place votes from our panel to win easily. Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez edged Orioles third baseman Manny Machado for second place by one point (Machado got the only other first-place vote). Diamondbacks outfielder Gerardo Parra finished fourth. Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia placed fifth.

The Braves need to focus on a team PEDs program. It's obvious MLB either doesn't care or can't stop PED use.

    Strange.

    2014 season.

General manager Frank Wren said Monday the team will not make a qualifying offer to pitcher Tim Hudson.

The Braves have 2012 rookie Evan Gattis set to take over at catcher next season. The team is not expected to compete aggressively in the free-agent bidding for McCann, a seven-time All-Star.

By making the qualifying offer, the Braves would receive a compensatory draft pick at the end of the first round if McCann signs with another team.

Atlanta may attempt to re-sign the 38-year-old Hudson, whose season ended with a broken ankle on July 24.

The Braves declined to exercise outfielder Reed Johnson's $1.6 million contract option. He gets a $150,000 buyout

The Philadelphia Phillies are searching for a pitching coach to replace the fired Rich Dubee and there is a “distinct possibility” they could lure Roger McDowell away from the NL East-rival Atlanta Braves, reports David O’Brien of the Atlanta JC.

Hudson is probably done. The Yanks will probably get McCann. Life goes on.

Chipper Jones has a lot of time on his hands now that he’s retired from baseball, so he keeps busy with hunting and fishing and outdoorsy stuff. Chipper also helps out around the house with chores and whatnot, but after what happened when Jones cleaned out the fireplace earlier today, he might not be asked to help out around the house again. Lol. Tried to do my daily chores and cleaned out the fireplace. Went and dumped the ashes. Alls good right? Nope. Set the woods on fire! Ugh — Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) January 23, 2014 I got firefighters all over my place! Thank you Roswell Fire Dept. — Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) January 23, 2014 How bad could the fire have been? If these pictures from Chipper’s lady friend Taylor Higgins are any indication, pretty damn bad… @RealCJ10 cleaned the fireplace out today.meet the neighbors too..they came 2 say they called the fire dept #thanks pic.twitter.com/WjBliZHU80 — Taylor Higgins

Freeman is a good player, but I don't think he's worth $135 million. Wow.
