    I'm sure Gettleman is thrilled about the cap situation. Keeping Williams and Stewart wasn't neccesary. It's a luxury, not a need.

    Hurney was the rich housewife that bought toilet paper at The Fresh Market.

    This is one of the sloppiest pieces of journalism this side of Gantt.

    Of course this guy is going to stoke the belief that a sports writer is far superior to others at understanding NFL teams, and making genius moves. It's like lawyers...they are the smartest people alive, just ask them.

    I think the gist of the story was saying Hurney laid some nice foundation here. That's not off the mark.

    It could've explored some of what got him fired - the cap mess, the extensions that Gettleman is still fixing...but it didn't.

    Fact is, I doubt Hurney will ever work as a GM anywhere ever again. Not sure why the piece suggested there was a possibility.
