He still is who we said he is. I give him credit for learning and changing from being too passive on 4th downs, but I don't think he's a great or even a good head coach. Whatever Chudzinski's former critics want to pretend, the offense has gotten significantly worse since going to Shula (6.2 yards per play in 2011, 5.8 ypp in '12, 5.0 ypp in '13). My nightmare is Rivera getting an extension while McDermott gets a head coaching job next season only for the defense go into a similar decline.

Enjoy the ride with Riverboat Ron, but hot hands don't last forever. This still isn't the guy I want coaching this team in 2015.

I'm happy for Rivera, he was getting a lot of shit because players weren't making plays, but as far as the future this season is barely half done. Lots of ball to be played.


I think the offense is worse because the OL is largely shit right now. DW is way off his career average, for example. Shula is getting like Chud in that he keeps calling stuff that is not working, all these off tackle runs that leave us in 2nd and 9. I'm not majorly pissed, only because we're winning.

A CJ injury means goodbye #1 D, the games will be different.

 

He came back to play in the final 2 patriot drives so I'm assuming he is fine. I'm sure he is sore today. The stadium was as quiet as a funeral parlor when he went down and it initially looked bad from his movements.

 

You think Kalil playing this season is worse than Hangartner playing last season? And DW is performing at pretty much the same level he did in 2012.
