Players will be blindly loyal to eachother, which is fine. What's troubling is when coaches and GM's become blindly loyal to players.

It should also be noted that ending the Beason experiment also enabled TD to return to the weakside, where he's clearly better.

I get what you're saying, but a coach's job is to win games, not sacrifice a couple to satisfy the players.

I'd say it's a coaching gamble, sometimes you (feel that you) have to let guys like that play themselves out of the position and hope it doesn't cost you games. Rivera did, and it did. Kind of what you might expect coming from an ex player. He is living and learning, this year it did not take an injury to get the guy out. Maybe next time, he just takes a guy out without those other considerations being given.

The same shit happened last year with Keek on the team being played out of position to pacify the long time leader of the defense (and his supporters).

Yep he should have been colder. Maybe he is learning. I hope he is, and think he is. It seems pretty clear Rivera loves and respects Beason, and that it was a mistake to count on him.

Beason's earned the right to compete for damn sure. But it's disturbing to think he might have gotten the nod because of popularity in the locker room.

I guess who knows. Maybe he showed well in practice. I wish him well, and he was a great Panther in his few years playing here.

Game Balls... I guess Cam gets one, NFLN gave him something out of all the games but I still think he's an ass and wish he was one a different team

Thomas Davis, LaFell played great... shoot outs to Smith & Ginn on some blocks
