    Seems like something we've needed to fix for a decade. Hopefully Gettleman addresses this next offseason. I'm tired of Cam having no weapons.

    I think it's as much on Shula for crap play calling, on cam for not always making plays and a shit line cam plays behind

    Occasional reader, rare poster. But this is the argument I find on every board that seems to come back around to the main question, "Is Cam a franchise QB?" It seems that we will never know how good he can be unless he gets a solid OL and better WRs.

    You can argue that Brady is 5-1 with a motley crew at WR. Peyton Manning is playing behind a line with no LT and a 3rd string center. 2 years ago, when Denver went to the playoffs, had anyone heard of Decker, Thomas, etc.?

    For the Panthers' offense to be successful with Cam at QB, they better have a dominant run game. The pieces are in place (Silatolu, Kugbila, Scott, Kalil) on paper up the middle, but Gettlemen will need to address T in a big way. Once that is done, re-sign Ginn, move Smitty to slot, bring in a FA #1 WR, and draft a WR in the third. I am not a Lafell fan, but after a 100-yard game, I will remain neutral. With Tolbert, Stewie (If healthy) and Barner, we could be special.

    For me the bottom line has become that our #1 wide out is 5' 9".

    The WR thing is admittedly overplayed, but LaFell isn't anything special or close to it.

    He had his second 100 yard game in like what, a billion years since he's been here?

    He isn't as bad as advertised by some, and just two years ago, I was certain he was going to be a star, but he isn't. He's just a guy.

    Cam's problems won't go away with a better supporting cast, but it's foolish to suggest that the one he has is good enough.

    Agree with Collin on this one, with exceptions made for the OL being subpar. They will only be good enough against some teams.
