Chud thrown under bus.... again...

You'd think DeAngelo would be pissed about Shula going pass happy against a pathetic Bills run defense. I know I was.

 

We all understand why players rally around embattled teammates or coaches. This is nothing more than that. An avalanche of criticism was burying Shula and the players showed him support. Their words don't change the facts and statistics, though. The part I don't understand is why anyone would make themselves look like an idiot by bashing Chudzinski when he obviously did a great job here. Cam is a raw talent with poor technique who can't read defenses, so are we really suggesting that the OC wasn't responsible for him piling up huge stats?

 

You saw the same crappy execution and design that I did. DW and Cam dancing, play going nowhere, that appeared repeatedly in the first part of last year.

I guess that was genius, great job stuff. Wrong, it sucked and a good coach should have seen that shit was bad and quit forcing it. It kept getting forced. You know fucking well it did too, no matter what the stats say.

 

Sorry to tell you but the read option isn't a fad. I like Washington's variant more and hoped that if Chudzinski was here for a third year that he'd incorporate more pistol since it allows the RB to be coming forward instead of horizontally out of the shotgun, but even in that alignment it was still very effective overall for the Panthers in 2012.
