Can't blame him. I was a little disappointed to see Smitty say it, even though he was telling the truth, only because his numbers came back alive under Chud.

But you can't blame DeAngelo. Chud's the same guy who never ran Richardson once in the second half of the last game or some shit like that before he traded him. I can't imagine running backs like him.

"Telling the truth"? What Steve said was completely idiotic. Chudzinski didn't use Tolbert properly? You mean the guy making $2 million a year versus the actual running backs making a combined $14 million annually or the best short yardage quarterback in the league? Tolbert is who the offense should have featured?

DeAngelo's numbers are better because Stewart isn't there and Cam isn't being used as a rusher as much, so he's getting more opportunities. It also helps that the Giants didn't shred the defense this time. Last year Carolina ran on 7 of its 12 first quarter plays, after which New York was up 17 to 0.

What I'm referring to specifically was when he said Chud was angling for a new job with his wildly inconsistent playcalling at times.

Neither part of that was true either. I never felt like he wasn't focused on the Panthers, and his play-calling wasn't "wildly inconsistent." Gameplans evolved over the course of the season based on what was working and what wasn't, but within individual games they were consistent.

Rivera made some comment this year about realizing he couldn't just delegate, that things were his responsibilty or something like that. He re-focused Chud last year, pretty simple.

and I know Collin will blow a gasket at this like usual but hey, things are coming out now that support there were problems with Chud.

We've seen from his comments this year that Rivera doesn't know enough about offense to "re-focus" a high school coach. Strat, you complained a lot about Chud and therefore you want to look for anything that validates your criticism since you were obviously wrong in reality. The guy did a great job here and Shula is a massive step down.

Yet the players are on record complaining about him.

Nonsensical complaints against a guy who took another job elsewhere while his replacement is getting rightly bashed for being incompetent. Gee, I wonder why they did that.

    We're 1-2, Chud is 1-2 with Brian Hoyer/Brandon Weeden.
