I think that's the risk you have to take there.

The offense not even pretending it was going for a touchdown is one of my many beefs too. Yeah, we knew this. We knew this was going to happen.

It was inevitable. I actually laughed, turned off the tv, and went about the rest of my day in a slight, but expected haze. I've been beaten down into submission.

I relent, man. I fucking relent. I can't care anymore. I'll still watch, but my God, I can't care. If I cared, the joke would be on me, and I'd deserve every bit of heartache I felt.

 

yep, agreesome. when the INT happened, before I noted a flag, I told my wife right there that with our luck, it would be called back and we'd lose. hell, I also told her we'd lose when we kicked off after the last FG with < 2 mins left - saying they were gonna score a TD to win.

rook QBs and 2nd stringers playing their first start or so should love playing the panthers. They end up with a win and great press as a result. Then we hear the SAME EXACT SHIT from the coach at the postgame pressconf. It would appear they can't "clean up" anything.

 

yeah, that's me.....I forgot about it quickly with the 49erbeat down last night. that was way more fun, switching the chanels during commercial breaks with NASCAR.

wonder if Kap has only one eyebrow today? LOL

even funnier was Harbaugh's presser after the game last night. almost sad, but not for me.

 

Thing is, for that fleeting moment when Jones had the INT and there wasn't a flag, I was like "meh". It would have been a discouraging game even if we had won.


I think I said something before the drive like "this will be the difference betwen 7-9 and 6-10". That's probably what it was. That game convinced me that we have no chance to compete for the playoffs this year, even if it hadn't ended in spectacularly bad fashion. That's why I feel conviction in saying that Rivera should be fired ASAP, it's not a kneejerk reaction.

 

I dunno, it would have been somewhat positive that we were 1-1 and we actually pulled one out at the end after having a seemingly bad game. instead, we shit the bed again and my wifey and I drove all the way back from the beach and didn't even mention the game - which is unusual, but in a good way. we talked about wilson instead. she loves her some wilson, even more than I. Wilson made her a serious football fan from back in his NCSU days with her at the games. she'd even watch the Wis games to watch him and now the hawks. she thought glennon was an overrated goofball and chatized NCSU for letting wilson go in favor of glennon (and she hated Obrien for that as well). And there is a world of difference between the two had you ever met them and talked to them. she thinks cam is an overrated doofus too. guess the girl knows her shit now more than most guys, without the collin 'tude. J/K

 

It would have felt a little better, sure. But it says a lot about this team that I wasn't fired up in that brief moment of victory, or furious after the Johnson TD.

 

You better stay on top of that shit man.
