Rivera has a presser right now. He's easing my concerns, and I have total faith he will turn this thing around.

Refs simply threw bad calls, and Norman didn't play the switch, thus blowing coverage and costing us the game.

I can't imagine Cam Newton lasting with Gruden as a head coach. Jesus....although I do really like the idea of Gruden coming to Carolina. He'd win. I guarantee he'd win his share of games.....

Gettleman's a pro guy too, and I can't imagine we will look any anyone other than a guy who's in the NFL, and who's been here for a while. I also don't imagine he'd be too concerned with "going offense this time" or one way or the other. Hopefully he just looks for the right guy.

He did it! I knew he would...he talked about taking the Seahawks to the hilt! Just gotta get over that hump!

And not that this is any news of note....but he says he hasn't spoken to Richardson yet, just Gettleman.

He's been picking on Norman in the presser too. About the busted play, and about how the Giants buttfucked him last year.....

Seattle won a playoff game in Carroll's first year there.

Cam is everything Gruden hates in a QB- young strong armed inaccurate. He'd be benched for Matt Flynn by October until flynn is benched for Chase Daniel and Daniel gets hurt and Cam starts the last 3 games.

"This one just had some awful decision-making late -- not only by the defense in allowing Buffalo's game-winning, two-minute drive of 80 yards, but also by Rivera. To not try and throw the ball at least once in the final possession -- with the ball inside Buffalo's 35 -- was conservatism at its worst. Rivera and offensive coordinator Mike Shula simply ran it three times in a row, using up all of Buffalo's timeouts, but giving the Bills back the ball only six points down with almost two minutes left instead of going for the jugular.

Remember how well Seattle used up the final five minutes of last week's game, by throwing in similar situations and getting first downs? The Panthers do that just once, and the game's over. "

broken record endings I'm sick of... was with fox and now times 10 with rivera.

and he knew our back end d was full of scrubs playing together who aren't even as good as the firsts shit. everyone saw that coming. another rook/2nd stringer torches the d in the last coupla mins for a win, never mind the vets who've done it even easier in less time over the last few years (and 1999).

One could make the argument that Rivera had his hands tied with a depleted secondary so we had to play prevent, but I look at it as us needed to be more aggressive on that last offensive possession. If you know your defense can't stop them, go for the first down or at least try throwing it once. I believe we had a 4th and 1, right? Let Cam barrel forward for a yard and get the fuck out of there with a win.

Also, even if we turn it over on downs, Buffalo will be more conservative on offense only needed a FG for overtime. You'd almost rather be leading by 3 instead of 6 in that situation, especially with so many injuries.

One could make that argument, but one could also make no sense in doing so.

If you don't have the players to make the plays, why play the kind of defense that is predicated on them doing exactly that?

    Hide weaknesses, man.
