My latest beer favorites. There is a very limited sour fest in Charlotte in October, with tickets only being sold at the Salud beer store on north Davidson st in noda. They are capping ticket sales at 300 and have sold roughly 100 so far. They have 25 breweries so far signed up with more on the way . All sours . Should be fun

Do "sour" beers have a pronounced sour taste or just a slight hint of sourness? Also, do they come in malt, ale, stout, ect.?

I'm new to sours but from what I've head any beers can be made into a "sour" by introducing a bacteria into the beer during the brewing process. Some are more tart than others. The best I had yesterday was from new Belgium and a new brewery in Charlotte called Lenny Boy. They had a great one made with of all things sweet potato. Another one from them had strawberry
