I don't think there was much wrong with Henning, had Fox left him the fuck alone.

I never hated Henning, per se. He was flawed though. Fox meddling probably didn't help, but his watch costs more than my car, so I can't really blame anything on him.

Fox started his tenure here by telling all of his players that they had tiny dicks. That's basically what he said. And that's how you set the motherfucking tone.

Yeah, Henning did a nice job considering the constraints he was given. I loved that Atlanta gameplan and he did some nice things later with Miami as well. The Seifert era offense was pretty fun as well until he kicked Buerlerin to the curb.

Its hilarious you would accuse me of being argumentative when you're arguing with a dictionaries definition of a word.

For the record here is dictionary.com's

    me·di·o·cre

/ˌmi[IMG]diˈoʊ[IMG]kər/ Show Spelled [mee-dee-oh-ker] Show IPA
adjective 1. of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate: The car gets only mediocre mileage, but it's fun to drive. Synonyms: undistinguished, commonplace, pedestrian, everyday; run-of-the-mill. Antonyms: extraordinary, superior, uncommon, incomparable.

    2. not satisfactory; poor; inferior: Mediocre construction makes that building dangerous. Synonyms: meager, low-quality, second-rate; so-so. Antonyms: excellent, superior.

Notice how "low-quality" is listed as a synonym.

All I wanted is for you to have the stones to man up to which QB's on the list you considered mediocre. We couldn't even accomplish that minor feat.

There is an area between mediocre and elite called good/decent you know.
Mediocre is a derogatory word. Jake was above average, he was good for this franchise no matter the bitter feelings the Arizona game left us with.

You'll get no argument from me about the Zona game.

But Seattle was a different story. We really didn't have much of a chance that game. We were beat up pretty bad. We had no running game that day with Davis and Foster done for the year. If y'all remember Goings got concussed early and even he was gone. All Seattle had to do was shut down Smitty, remember Moose was gone to Chicago then (which Jake and Smitty lit up in the previous playoff game). He averaged like 3 yards a reception that day. And that was a pretty decent Seattle team too. Alexander stomped all over us if I remember rightly and was the leagues MVP that year. I think they even got screwed out of some crucial calls in the SB that cost them the game. We got beat by the better team that day. Had we met them at full strength it could have been different.

That sounds a lot like a guy with one Pro Bowl appearance and three playoff appearances.

And I think Seattle would have beaten us regardless, but Jake definitely made it into an unbearable game.

MW includes popular misuse as well as the correct definitions, which is why it's not a very good dictionary. They also include misuse of decimate, reticent, etc. I gave you the Latin origin to help you understand what the world actually means. And yeah, you're being argumentative. As you usually do, you're starting a fight over completely stupid shit because you have a huge hard-on for arguing with me. You always think this will be the time you finally win one.

Of course, but I used mediocre for a reason, since that's what Jake Delhomme was.

Mediocre isn't derogatory unless you mistakenly think someone was exceptional. And please stop with the nonsense about Jake being above average. You cited his best statistical season and I pointed out that even then he ranked just 12th in QB rating while being third in interceptions + fumbles. He was absolutely never at any point "above average." He was always a turnover-prone risk-taker who lost as many games for the team as he won, but his fans had selective memory to the point where they only remembered the good ones.
