I get what you're saying, but in terms of average annual value, Spiller and Jackson combined are getting paid about what DeAngelo received and only slightly more than Stewart makes. Their combined guaranteed money was less than what Williams or Stewart got.

I dont think anyone would argue both our RB's are overpaid.

Its amazing how an owner so deeply involved in the CBA can have totally misjudged the market for players only 2 years later, not even really.

It'd be nice to have both 28 and 34 on 3 mill a year deals.

Spiller is still on his rookie contract tho, Fred is like 31.

Spiller really blossomed last year, he was looking almost like a bust (well maybe thats a bit dramatic).

Again, I can't imagine that Richardson had anything to do with the amounts that players received. That's what you get when a sportswriter becomes your GM. I think people like Scott Fowler well enough, although he is a bit smug. Would you want him running the Panthers?

So you're suggesting Mr Pie Chart had no idea of the millions he was forking over.

I think he may have been guilty of not looking like a miser after the year of capitulation.

Certaintly not absolving Marty. Were already seeing what a real GM can do with pennies.

Because I am not a moron, I am suggesting that Richardson isn't the one who made assessments of "the market" and decided how much individual players should receive.

Do you know anything whatsoever about professional sports? It really seems like you don't. Not only are you apparently entirely ignorant about the role of a general manager, but you'd have to be daft to think that an owner is sitting down in contract negotiations deciding dollar amounts.
