I think most would agree that Green Bay has a prolific passing game. There is not one first round WR in the bunch. Same for New England. There will be some good WRs available in the second round. It's difficult to get an elite pass rusher (DT or DE) or offensive tackle after the first round though.

I agree they should surround Cam with as much talent as possible, but you can probably help him more by keeping him upright. Have you seen Byron Bell play?? Same goes for Hangartner.

Then you just spent #14 on a slot guy when there are huge holes on the roster. Can you think of something worse they could do besides another MLB, RB, or QB? And again, Tavon Austin isn't refined as a wide receiver. He had some corner routes, but when split wide the highlights show a lot of drags. He did actually look nice running routes out of the backfield since that got him matched up on a linebacker. On the right team he could be an explosive weapon, which is why I had him going to Seattle in the role Harvin will now perform for them. But for the Panthers it's not a good fit at all. Why people are fixated on a WR instead of the massive holes at DT, CB, and OL is beyond me, especially since someone of quality will be available at #14.

I actually think it's pretty obvious we're going to draft the lines early. And I wouldn't be surprised it it was interior, on both sides of the ball. (shrug)

We're just not going to draft Austin.

Im wondering how far we could trade back and still get one of Richardson, Cooper or Warmack. A WR wouldnt be a terrible failsafe. And at what point would Eifert trump the talent available at WR?

Couldn't. All three might be gone by #14 and I really doubt they would last beyond that.

Carolina should only take a WR at #14 if they believe a WR is the best player left on the board by a pretty significant margin. That absolutely won't be Austin, or if it is then the Panthers are idiots who can't make a draft board. Patterson might be, but there's a huge amount of risk there. I have to think that one of the OL, DT, CB, or Jarvis Jones falls to 14. I hadn't really considered Eifert, but I do like him and he has experience splitting wide. That's an interesting thought, CC, especially if trading down a few spots.

I was watching that terrible "Path to the Draft" show on NFLN last night, and they did an unintentionally funny breakdown of the Panthers. Among their gems was the mention of Jordan Gross moving to right tackle since "he played most of his career there". Charlie Casserly had great things to say about former Broncos personnel guy Dave Gettleman. And of course, WR was highlighted as a need.

These guys get paid to do that, evidently.

I meant WR being a failsafe in a trade down option, say 3-5 spots and the linemen got poached. It'll be weird to see 2 guards go before 14 even if the talent is there. The QB's could really shake things up. Some idiot will reach per usual and alot of those same idiots are picking high.

I think we're on the same page with Austin. Not a fan of Patterson that high either. Im thinking Allen at 14 if thats the move.

Much rather have Warmack or Cooper and take Hopkins/Hunter/Woods in 2.

Lane Johnson is looking like a pipe dream. Can you imagine if Star actually fell to us.

Who has DT as their #1 priority before us?

    LOL, I caught that too.

I actually like that Daniel dude that usual does it. Cant believe we got Casserly and that other tool.

It was weird looking at our board. Not as many holes as I thought, especially with 41 returning.

But Fua as a starter, Hell No. It was weird seeing Gettis' name up there too.
