have to agree. i didn't look to see who we were passing on in their mock. seems like both Star and Hopkins are both way under rated on their board compared to other lists i've seen. if Star's medical issue is completely cleared, he probably won't make it to us but he could. if so, seems he would be a steal and I would be all on board with the pick. i think it's possible he or OT Lane Johnson could fall to us and be steals as they both should go in the first 10 picks. so, we need for them to get pushed down 4-5 spots which might happen (probably 4 spots if the G Warmack is picked before we pick and 5 if not) if some combination of the following get picked before we pick:

    1) 1 or 2 QBs

    2) Jarvis Jones is cleared medically (this draft is really short at the top on OLB; if he is still on the board at 14, i think it puts us in a great position for a trade down ... which would be awesome since the draft is going to have several quality players at positions we need in the bottom half of the 1st and top the second ... but I don't think he makes it to us)

    3) 1 or 2 CBs in addition to Dee Milliner ... looking for that shutdown corner

    4) 1 or 2 WRs ... WRs are becoming a premium but the top 2 are far from the sure things ... management of bad teams are afraid of (can't afford) the bust potential so this seems pretty iffy to me but a team could fall in love with one of them

so what to do if the stars align right and we get to choose between Star and Warmick?
    Lance and Warmick?
    Star and Lance?
    Warmick and a WR?
WR and none of the above?

i don't think we get a good WR in the 2nd as I think there will be a run on them at the top of the 2nd before we pick. i know you are happy with our WR situation but i am not; so, unless Star or Lance (or maybe Warmick) fall to us I hope we pick a WR in the 1st. this draft seems deep at DT, OT, G and CB at the top (first 60 players or so) and so I think we still get a good player at a position of need without having to reach even if we waste a pick on a WR in the first.

i think this draft is gonna interest me most in who gets picked before us in the first two rounds.

    thoughts?

Yeah I have though all along that a Qb or two would rise, some people are thinking as many as three. Happens almost every year with the Qbs. A couple of them, a couple of guys at other positions we won't target rise, we're in good shape.

Saw that they cleared him in Feb., I missed it. Thanks.

There's virtually no chance of any QB besides Geno going before #14, and even he might not. One or two others might slip into the bottom of the first round.

I would be astonished if Geno Smith doesn't go in the top 10. Too much need up there. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Barkley also goes in the top 10. Good news for us.

Picking a QB high and him not working out or passing and watching someone behind you take him and hit, what would be worse for your career as GM?

There are gonna be guys who are scared not to take the Qb.

I cant believe Arians is really gonna go with Drew Stanton as the starter.

Bills need a QB bad. Cant believe they didnt make a run at Hasselbeck.

The action is heating up around Geno. Cant wait for all the gossip after Barkleys workout.

If Jarvis is availiable at 14, I think its something we really need to be considering taking for ourselves. While another LB is the last thing we need at 14 he is a special talent. And after 2015 are Davis or Beason still gonna be with us? He is a special pass rushing talent, Von Miller like. OLB is a need for us but something likely addressed with a 4th or later.

Arians really loves Drew Stanton for some fucking reason. I get that he was in Indy last year, but Jesus Christ. The Cardinals are just a magnet for shitty decisions at QB.

Didn't Stanton have a chance at the starting job in Detroit and got beat out by hill? Before stafford.
