Meh, I don't think Joe Flacco or Eli Manning are that good. Or to put it another way, I think the difference between Flacco/Eli and Ryan Fitzpatrick is less than the difference between Flacco/Eli and Aaron Rodgers.

The 49ers reached a NFC Championship in 2011 and a Super Bowl in 2012 on the strength of a running game and a defense. It's not a dinosaur just yet.

Kinda depends how you're evaluating them.

I mean, technically Eli, Joe and Ryan all hover around the 60% completion percentage. But Eli and Joe have proven to be clutch when it mattered most.

You need your QB to be clutch when it matters most, which is kinda the knock on Newton right now and a major reason I assume why Tebow remains high in your estimation.

But Rodgers stats are pretty sick. His TD to INT ratio is probably the best the NFL has seen or will ever see. His completion percentage puts him in the top tier with Peyton and Brady around the 65% mark.

Flacco's INT rate is pretty normal at around 50%. Eli's is about 66%, but Ryans is about 85%. Ryan really shouldnt be anything more than a career backup.

Are Flacco and Eli elite, statistically no, but they are still franchise QB's, they were both major factors in their respective teams winning SB's. They were both clutch when their teams needed them to me. In the end, thats what you want, thats what gets you a Lombardi and thats why they play the game.

Jacoby Jones and David Tyree made their QBs clutch by catching the same to whom it may concern chucks we killed jake over.

Potatoes, spuds. Brady needed Vinateri to win all 3 superbowls, and a tuck rule. Big Ben needed Wallace to make the catch of the century.

    Dolphins signed Brandon Gibson

wouldn't object to Davone Bess if this puts him on the street, he could come here and do some damage in the slot*.

*That's right slot receivers don't have to be white.

**damage in the slot was not meant to be part of a long running joke about WRs and people's wives
