    $12 million over two years doesn't seem like a lot for Welker. Supposedly he gave the Patriots a chance to match, and if true, Brady must be furious.

    The pats will sign Amendola and this will look like pretty savvy business until he goes on IR in week 5

    I guess the Pats are looking at the track record of WRs age 32 or older, which isn't particularly good aside from Jerry Rice. Still, how could you not give him a two year deal?

    I doubt the Pats would even explore the possibility, but Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson, even at age 39 and 35 respectively, just got wood upon hearing Welker was gone. Seems like a good fit for Billichick in his quest to turn turdish human beings into playoff contributors, ala Randy Moss.
