Under the cap finally. On another note what is Thomas Davis contract status this year?

He'd cost ~500k more to cut than keep. He'll probably be around through 2014 (costs $4.26 mil '13, $5.8 mil '14). The problem is that you have three LBs making large money without including the Defensive Rookie of the Year. James Anderson would also be about the same cost to keep as cut, so that's just something Gettleman will have to deal with.

I'm a little surprised they couldn't get anything in a trade because Gamble will get a decent contract in free agency. Meanwhile Adrian Wilson was released by the Cardinals. I wouldn't be shocked to see him here given that I don't think he'll cost much at his age coming off of a subpar season.

Given that they could have cut him weeks ago, they probably shopped him around the league with no takers.

Why would you want to cut him after the season he had?

I wonder if Gamble resigns for much cheaper, doubt it, but he has had a few injuries of late and there are decent options in the draft.

No, I am not asking to cut him, I just remember we had him cheap last year and that he was either a free agent or had a much higher cap slot. I have heard he will be more than happy to renegotiate but that's a double edge sword that Hurney stuck in our ass multiple times

Bring the Carolina guys back home, Wilson and Sensabaugh.

Both are aging and like you said coming off sub par seasons but would they be any worse than what we had out there early last year.
