Yeah. OL, DT, and CB are just too massive in terms of needs. Carolina should hit two of them in the first two rounds. I'd even be fine with two of the same group.

Reading this I probably agree with you. We have some decent WRs. OL, CB, DT and S are major needs. A stud safety would help a lot. I believe Josh Thomas did a good job last year. The other Josh not so much. Still so many needs I just hope we can land a starter.

Looking at nfl.com and they have the Florida dt sherrif going to Oakland at 4, with star lofulailai's heart issues would you take him when the panthers draft? He's played with it through out his college career and with the lower salaries rookies make I'd jump at the chance to get him

Fuck yes. I would much rather have Lotulelei than Richardson.

My thoughts as well. The combine really has jumbled up the players ahead of us. I still think at least 1 if not 2 QBs get drafted ahead of us and the depth at OT and DT this year as well as Stars issues makes me think it could happen

It's possible. Lane Johnson solidifying himself helps as well. I suppose if I had to rank the top 14 players in this draft, I might go:

    1. Dee Milliner
    2. Star Lotulelei
    3. Luke Joeckel
    4. Eric Fisher
    5. Chance Warmack
    6. Jarvis Jones
    7. Bjoern Werner
    8. Dion Jordan
    9. Sharrif Floyd
    10. Damontre Moore
    11. Lane Johnson
    12. Ezekiel Ansah
    13. Barkevious Mingo
    14. Xavier Rhodes

Geno and Patterson are the only other ones I think might go before #14, but there's a bit of a drop after #9, so it would take some luck for a premium prospect to be there for the Panthers. Warmack due to his position and Jones due to his spinal stenosis are the two besides Star who might drop.

Lots of guys in FA that could change what the teams in front of us are looking for. We are going to have a shot at a good player or two.

True, Cardinals or Bills could make a run at Cassel and not go qb even though I think one or both will take qb. Also the inevitable "what the fuck are they thinking" pick like Irvin with Seattle last year. That proved to be a good selection despite a universal head scratch. Seems like I've said this before, I want between 650-700 lbs of mean linemen selected in rounds 1-2.

Lots of decent linemen available in FA. They might all be on the costly side but anyone think we make a play for a T or G in FA?

Im still holding out hope that Geno and Barkley get drafted before 14.

I really cant see Raiders, Zona, Jets, Bills and possibly even Cleve all passing on the chance at QB. Its a bit of a risk to be counting on both to be available round 2 with the way contracts are designed nowadays. I guess you got Manuel too, but the others leave a bit to be desired.
