Whatever happened to hiring OC and DC coaches from SB teams?

that's been a ways back honestly. Even back to 2000, guys in the Super Bowl couldn't get the head coach jobs regularly because teams were waiting a month to get to them. I think you can at least interview while you're still in the playoffs, but it's somehow a negative to be on a really good team lately.

I think Chudzinski is going to do a really good job in Cleveland. A lot of that zone-read stuff you guys bitched about was done for Cam's benefit. Weeden is a pocket passer with toughness but serious flaws, so I think Chud will lean pretty heavily on Richardson and use play-action to take shots downfield. Josh Gordon is going to be targeted a lot in 2013.

I agree... Chud should do well as long as he gets some players to work with... Would have rather kept him over Rivera... But in San Diego they wanted Rivera over Norv so go figure

I didn't realize Chud was a diehard Browns fan growing up. This has to be awesome for him. I hope he turns shit around up there.

Wikipedia has this, unsourced, on Norv's page. Weird.

In the 2012 offseason, he was briefly a part of the Carolina Panthers coaching staff (though he had no official position), but left upon being hired at Cleveland.

Weeden is pretty similar to DA, he went 10-6 as OC there before.

But TR is the big weapon there. He wont be OC anymore so it'll be interesting to see how that develops.

He was a TE coach there before too so Ben Watson should be in for some nice late years.
