With his lack of accuracy, I wonder how many times he had to fire the gun.

    Per the Colorado Springs Gazette:

    Jan 6, 11:51 PM EST

Coach who died had suffered previous health woes

PHOENIX (AP) -- Police say a 39-year-old assistant football coach at Northern Arizona University who died Saturday had suffered from pre-existing health conditions.

But Phoenix police spokesman Trent Crump says Sunday that police department policy prohibits him from releasing details of Jeff Lewis's medical history.

Foul play isn't suspected in Lewis' death.

Authorities say they received a call Saturday morning that Lewis had stopped breathing.

    He was later pronounced dead.

Crump says the case is now being handled by the medical examiner's office.

Lewis was a bad quarterback, and reading some of this reminds me what a fucking idiot Seifert could be sometimes (he also did some really good things too) but this goes beyond football and fans being knuckleheads about tragedy.

That sucks. He came here, and he didn't intend to suck. Yes, I was probably one of the biggest Lewis haters alive, and I hated the move, but the guy wore our uniform and tried to lead us, and tried to be too much, and do good things for the Carolina Panthers.

Some players work out, some don't, but for a time, he was one of ours, and we should reflect that.

    Rest in peace, number 8.

I'm reminded of a couple things. I know it's taboo to speak well of the guy in general, but I remember the deep ball against Oakland (Moose's "flower from the rubble" or whatever) that, if Moose catches it, might've made a difference for the guy.

Also remember the story that Seifert supposedly wanted to draft Brady and Musgrave said his footspeed was too slow.

Musgrave is a rat who deserves to be put down. I've always thought that. Two people to this day I wouldn't mind see get hit by a bus, and I'm speaking literally when I say that: John Marshall, for taking years off my life, and fucking Bill Musgrave, for sucking as our OC, telegraphing that damned out route that we ran from the same damned formation over and over, and being a goddamn quitter.

And now, for apparently costing us Tom fucking Brady?

    Man....

Jeff Lewis looked great in practice, but he didn't have the mentality for pressure situations.

The idea that Seifert would want someone and let an assistant talk him out of it is pretty ludicrous. Note that I'm not bashing you for relaying that, as I don't want to start another argument. I'm bashing whatever clown came up with that rumor. Plus, I'm guessing that Brady wouldn't be Brady had he spent his career with the Panthers.

Yeah I was just getting ready to post something along that line. Brady would have had Fox as his coach and Hurney as the GM, probably would have been cut for the next year's wasted draft pick at Qb.

I think that was media actually, but doesn't feel worth going to find.

"well, we needed room for Randy Fasani."
