    Yeah.

Depressing for me. I don't think Rivera will ever be outstanding, and BB taking over? Why.

What's so bad about having a GM with a scouting background? I mean, why hire Accorsi if we're just gonna stick with the status quo? Hey, it works, right?

    ...wait...

I could speculate that we could still bring in some kind of Director of Football Operations guy and let Beane be the general general manager.

Detroit is a good cautionary tale on why you shouldn't promote a GM.

Please stop saying this because it's so fucking stupid, and as such, is beneath you.

Interesting on Shula. He's highly esteemed. I don't know about Chud out for Turner if Rivera is still here. Truth is, they're very similar and they're tight. It's kinda like firing Davidson for Weis. It's probably an upgrade, but the ties amongst them keep it from happening.

I don't know that those decisions are made, but certainly people there do like to talk.

There's definitely been some change with Chudzinski over the season, though some of it might've been Cam just getting better with the expanded playbook. There's no doubt Chud gets too complex at times, and while I love it, I don't think it's necessary that often. I think that can hold a Coryell team behind when it's just not necessary.

That and the injuries. Chud doesn't seem like the read-option as much with Stewart out. It's the notion that Chudzinski has someone else telling him how to do his offense that's completely stupid. That isn't happening. And as repeatedly noted, the yards per offensive play has stayed pretty constant throughout the season despite the variation in play-calling.

So Collin I see that you don't think Rivera has ever made "suggestions" to his OC. Pretty sure he has done similar with ST before, why not with OC? If my butt was on the line I'd damn sure be suggesting something to the head of an underperforming group.

Because Rivera has no background at all on offense, plus he doesn't seem at all the type to interfere like that.
