Don't pout just because you look silly for what you said while I look prescient. If I could predict the future I'd be living in Vegas and fucking supermodels. What I can do is evaluate players and I gave you the only answer possible.

I'm not pouting. I'm asking you for a yes or no answer to my question. It's not like I will even hold you to it 5 years from now, mainly because I don't have the time or the inclination to dig back that far (unlike you).

Asking for a yes or no answer is absolutely you pouting about me bringing up your comment about there being no way Luck would be better than Cam. Football is a team game. Whether or not Cam is the starter for a winning team in five years depends on the rest of that team.

It's a team game, but it's not unreasonable to ask for a prediction. Mine is that I don't think he will be. Jason Campbell could be the starter on a winning team (2001 Ravens come to mind). The odds are against it, because typically the QB on a winning team is at least league average, or more likely, above average as compared to other QBs in the league. There are abberrations of course, but I would be willing to place money on that.

I'm really not ashamed that I was excited about Cam's season last year, or his outlook for the future. It's not unreasonable to have assumed (even if the assumption ended up wrong) that someone would not eclipse the best rookie QB season ever the following year. Some other really intelligent people felt the same. We were all wrong. Shit happens. There's no reason to jump up and down gleefully during the player's demise screaming "I TOLD YOU SO!!" It seems to me that you are happier that you were right all along about him, rather than having a winning football team.

See, that's a dick comment with absolutely no justification, but it's a predictable response from someone who is frustrated and embarrassed. You said last season that there's no way Luck would be better than Cam and I told you that was a mistake. You said this season that the team should dump Cam and draft a new QB and I told you that was a mistake also. You're swinging from one extreme to the other, and both are wrong. If I was reveling in Cam's struggles, why would I be the one arguing against the team drafting a new QB? Wouldn't I be in your shoes if that's what I was doing?

Don't make dick comments about me just because you're annoyed that you were so wrong and I was correct. I want the Panthers to win, but I call things like I see them and I'm almost always right. Think back to all the shit I took last season about Cam. Go back and look. When people think I'm wrong they come out of the woodwork, but when it looks like I'm correct they suddenly all go silent, and they definitely don't apologize for the shit they gave me before. I'm not pulling for Cam to struggle and it would be fun if he proved me wrong by becoming an elite quarterback someday. But for now, what I'd really like is for people to give reasonable consideration to any player evaluations I make.

I've said multiple times that I'm not embarrassed, and have clearly stated that I was wrong in my previous assessment that Cam is a franchise QB. Frustrated? Absolutely. Freely admit that. I'm not frustrated with you, but this team.

I have not said anywhere that Cam needs to go this offseason and we need to draft a different QB this offseason. If there was an Andrew Luck or RG3 coming out this year, then sure, I'd go with that. But if the QBs coming out are no better than Cam, then it doesn't improve the team, and I would be against that. You said here in this thread that you didn't like the QB's coming out, and since I haven't watched much from the top prospects, I went along with it. Rather, I think the conversation should be had by the team after this season regarding whether Cam is the long term solution at QB. I've seen enough that I think he will have a place in the league for quite some time, but not as a winning starter. Teams that don't have the solution at the QB position flounder in mediocrity or worse. It would be nice to not be one of those teams for a change.
