I'm glad the Panthers got their asses kicked the way they did. Richardson deserved it. Fox was the best coach Charlotte has had in any sport.

yeah, I think it has been proven now without doubt the biggest problem we had over the past decade was Hurney, not fox.

    edit:
And this comes from the guy who told you chuckleheads for years that Hurney was awful. Honestly, how good would John Fox look now if Peyton Manning hadn't bizarrely chosen Denver?

Hurney did suck, I agree... He sucked the life out of the franchise and Richardson hired Rivera to breathe in back in... Where's the life?

Hurney took the team in a different direction than what Fox wanted following the 12-4 season... Now Fox is with a team he can work with and the results look like so far, back to back division titles and playoff appearances... and getting better.

    And here we sit...

I remember how great John Fox was. Particularly the last time Peyton Manning visited BOA Stadium.

Fox did great things. He also had losing streaks of:

    8 games (2002)
    3 games (2003)
    6 games (2004)
    4 games (2006)
    5 games (2007)
    3 games (2009)
    5 & 7 games (2010)
    3 games, twice (2011)

I like him as a coach, but he had his flaws. Still does.

I guess you can give Fox credit for not losing with Peyton Manning as his QB. He had plenty of time to put together sustained success here, and couldn't do it, even with consistent personnel. I don't think he's a bad coach, but he's no Belichick.

Funny about Belichick, as he 41-55 in his first 6 years as an NFL HC.

Denver: Elway running show, Fox looks smart with Manning
Panthers: No GM, Riveria playing lame duck Coach role, Cam not good right now.

    Shocking Denver wins game.
